Lions Emblem and Colors
Signs displaying the emblem of Lions International are common sights wherever Lions are active. The emblem consists of a gold letter "L" on a circular purple field. Bordering this is a circular gold area with two lion profiles at either side facing away from the center. The word "Lions" appears at the top and "International" at the bottom. Symbolically, the Lions face both the past and the future--proud of the past and confident of the future.

Purple stands for loyalty to country, friends, and to one's self and to the integrity of mind and heart. It is the traditional color of strength, courage, and tireless dedication to a cause.
Gold symbolizes the sincerity of purpose, liberality in judgment, purity in life and generosity in mind, heart, and purse towards your fellow man.

Who Are We and What Do We Do?

Members of the Badger Lions help their community with service projects and by supporting local, national, and international programs. Activities include fundraisers, social events, and interesting programs at the regular meetings.

Some of the fundraisers for the Pancake Feeds, Sweet corn sales, and Coloring Book Sales. Virtually all of the funds we raise are spent in service of others.

We provide eye exams, eyeglasses and hearing aids for those in need in the community. We provide scholarships for campers to Camp Hertko Hollow, a camp specially designed for diabetic children located in Boone, Iowa. We donate money to many charitable and youth organizations.

Our club is involved in the Coming to Your Senses Program, which is a state-wide sight screening program for infant and children.
